(16,471 posts)He may figure a presidential pardon is the only thing that will keep him out of the slammer when the facts about his $2 billion "investment" from Saudi Prince Bonesaw comes to light. Trump's latest loathsome remarks are bound to rub off on him, since he just resurfaced to remind everyone that he has no standing in the world other than having leeched first off of his own father and then his father-in-law.

"Son-in-law and former senior adviser to Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, said he is backing his father-in-law for another term in 2024 because of how the former president helped the Middle East while in office.

" I do think that the job [Trump] did as a foreign policy president was tremendous. Now, more and more people are beginning to recognize that, he said in an interview with podcaster Lex Fridman released Wednesday.
He discussed Middle East policy, specifically surrounding the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, which began Saturday and left thousands dead.
Now, under President Biden, this is the second war thats broken out in the world, and when you have weak leadership, the world becomes a less safe place, he said. My hope and prayers are that President Trump is reelected and that hes able to then restore calm and peace and prosperity to the world....(more)

FLASHBACK: Trump Admitted to Sharing Classified Intelligence from Israel to Russia
Story by Brett Meiselas 4d
In 2017, Donald Trump divulged classified intelligence about Israelis Mossad spy agency and ISIS to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during a meeting at The White House. Trump admitted to sharing the confidential intelligence, tweeting that he had an absolute right to do so. While he may have had the right to share intelligence while he was president, that doesnt mean that sharing confidential intelligence from Israel with our adversaries was the right thing to do.
Israel was furious. ForeignPolicy.com noted in a 2017 article:
Just days before President Donald Trumps arrival in Tel Aviv, Israeli intelligence officials were shouting at their American counterparts in meetings, furious over news that the U.S. commander in chief may have compromised a vital source of information on the Islamic State and possibly Iran, according to a U.S. defense official in military planning. To them, its horrifying, the official, who attended the meetings, told Foreign Policy. Their first question was: What is going on? What is this?

(My sister once accused me of being anti-semitic for criticizing Israel's policies... I responded that criticizing the policies of a government had nothing to do with whether one hated a race of people or not.. and I don't)
(( and the state of Israel has a pretty large latitude of response now, in this particular instance---
beheading and or murdering babies goes way 'beyond the pale' ))
I do hope that civilian Palestinian casualties will be minimal, but it is almost certain that Israel will invade Gaza, and innocent people will die... War is hell, but they did not begin this instance of it...
