I posted on another thread that I felt this coming. Not just a response (and of course trying to find hostages) but that Israel can kill as many Palestinians as they want and pretty much get away with it. A lot of IDF are going to die too.

If Irael wanted to kill regular Palestinians, they'd have killed tens of thousands by now. If they wanted to kill all 2 million Palestinians, they have the power to do so. Instead what we have is warnings that ensure the vast majority of bombs are striking empty buildings. It;s why the death toll is so low despite very heavy bombing.

Those “areas full of innocent civilians” have Hamas terrorists or rocket sites embedded in them, which makes them valid targets.
