By strengthening Hamas, Netanyahu recklessly gambled on the lives of Israelis and in fact, last Shabbat, more than 1,000 of them paid the price of that foolish gamble with their lives / Dmitry ShumskyLink to tweet

Netanyahu made sure Palestinians didn't have a moderate leader. He made sure it was Hamas so he could smear all Palestinians with it, turn world outrage against them, then brutalize/attack/kill them like he is doing now to drive them out of Gaza completely and forever.
A leaked video from 2001 shows Netanyahu recounting how he manipulated America and American presidents, how he sabotaged the Oslo Accords and how he has been intentionally striking Palestinians to terrorize them ever since.

When you talk about "pure evil" make sure you include Netanyahu. He wanted what happened on Saturday to happen so that he could use it for his own violent purposes.

I would post some examples from the past. But I'm sure it would be hidden because the material would be too uncomfortable for some.

(19,076 posts)Could you please point me to which video he says he will use hamas to kill a thousand Israelis? I have no love for Netanyahu and see him as part of the problem. He may have stacked the dynamite but he didn't light the fuse
Ironically, my evening is to go visit my brother, and we are going to be playing a war game. Cardboard soldiers only leave cardboard widows and orphans.

(23,138 posts)what led to the successful Hamas attack on Israel. Netanyahu made sure two-state negotiations would fail, abrogated international law by encouraging thousands of Israelis to settle on Palestinian land, he played Hamas off against the PLA in a strategy to make both sides weaker. It was a colossal failure except that it has given him an excuse to bomb Gaza back to the Stone Age, kill thousands of Palestinians, starve the rest, and he probably hopes this will put Israel in a position to occupy Gaza and eventually, the West Bank.

(23,138 posts)and commando raids that killed hundreds of civilians, and the taking of Palestinian land for settlements. Hamas would also like to disrupt the move towards a peace agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia that does not include any mention of Palestinian statehood. thirdly, I believe Hamas wanted to exploit the unsettled political situation in Israel in which thousands of Israelis, including military personnel, are demonstrating against Netanyahu's attempts to neuter the Supreme Court to protect Netanyahu from criminal charges.

(51,022 posts)to address concerns over the issues you mention. Its my understanding that their ultimate goal, is to kill Jews however.
All Hamas has accomplished in their quest, is the murder of more innocent Palestinians.

(23,138 posts)helpless feeling Palestinian have from the fact that israelis steal Palestinian land for Israeli settlements against international law and UN agreements, and no other country will help them prevent that. Israeli commandos and jet bombers kill hundreds of innocent Palestinian civilians whenever Hamas terrorists attack Israelis. Look at the numbers. Israel is committed to kill multiple Palestinians for every Israeli killed. That is also in contravention of international law. Put people in a pressure cooker and there will be an explosion. Netanyahu has supported Hamas against the Palestinian Liberation Authority to weaken both groups, and bears a great deal of responsibility for the current climate. Yes, Hamas has committed atrocities. So has the Israeli military, again and again. The only solution is to negotiate statehood for Palestinians, and Netanyahu has done everything in his power to prevent that. Hamas and Netanyahu's administration both bear the responsibility for these crimes.
