This was when it first started here in Colorado. My DIL took this, and I think the reflections are from her glasses or something, but you can see the eclipse in them.

(51,626 posts)2. When there is an eclipse the light going through tree leaves is
changed and the shadow is a little crescent sun. The light is refracted or something so you see hundreds of tiny crescent suns in the cast shadow of the tree's leaves. My class of first graders thought that was really cool.
