DALLAS — The State Fair of Texas at Fair Park was evacuated Saturday night after a reported shooting, police say.

State Fair officials are pushing back the opening to 2 p.m. for Sunday.

Fair sources have told WFAA that three people were shot, but no one was killed, and that one 23-year-old suspect is in custody.

Sources also say the shooting took place at the inside food court in the Tower Building.

Dallas Police Department Sr. Cpl. Melinda Gutierrez said that at about 7:45 p.m. police responded to the shooting. Preliminary investigation found one man shot at another man.

All three victims have non-life-threatening injuries, she said. The suspect ran from the scene but was later taken into custody. A gun was also recovered.

Taking a gun to the fair is just looking for someone to cross you so you can use it. Stupid gun culture in parts of this state.

But something similar happened in Ohio last year, seven juveniles and four adults were arrested at the Canfield fair after a large fight broke out and shots were fired.

The gun sickness and the anger is everywhere.

for as long as they did. I was in the vending business with a girlfriend for a few years. That no doubt would be the biggest weekend of the year for some of those people. They lost all of Saturday night and Sunday morning. Those vending spots are not cheap at an event like that either.

I would imagine a fair number of those vendors that got screwed are gun humpers. If it's not already happening, we'll see more and more people avoiding those kind of events because of the risk.
