Oh the HORROR in the House should Gym Jordan get elected SOTH

Hard to imagine inviting President Joe Biden to give the State of The Union address next year as VP Kamala Harris will be seated next to him.

What say you? I can only imagine Government coming to a long standstill and NOTHING getting done.

On a scale of 1 to 10 of things to worry about, Jim Jordan becoming speaker of the house rates about a negative 4.

The Constitution specifies that the president shall from time to time inform Congress of the state of the union - it doesn't say how they should do it. Showing up in person is a 20th century innovation: previously, presidents just sent a written message to Congress.

Maybe longer, maybe shorter, but not by much. I think it's looking like a series of self-inflicted votes of no-confidence will plague the GOP for the short term until they start letting the grown-ups run the place. (at best, I'm a late Wednesday afternoon quarterback)
