I think they should pause the bombing.

This widely publicized offer to release all hostages in exchange for stopped bombing by Israel is worth pursuing. The whole world is watching. The stated reasons for the aggressive stance by Israel will not hold if they don't at least give Hamas a chance to release hostages.

They could always use the time to strengthen their positions, maintain their equipment, and get the American Presidential visit over. The timing is perfect. I have no idea what to do about the 13 dead hostages. But, getting the rest out is important.

I don't know what to make of the alleged demand for the release of 6,000 prisoners. I'm thinking that could come later. No way are they gonna do that now.

They need to get rid of Hamas. Hamas doesn't care about Palestinian civilians. The civilians should turn on them. If there is a pause in the bombing, the civilians could surge.

Mistakes and innocents get hurt. That is why so many of us are against all war.

So far over 3,000 in Gaza are dead. At what number do they stop?

Not a minute sooner. That is their mission. There is no way forward with Hamas still intact and in power in gaza.

Did you know Bibi wanted Hamas to have more power than the PA because the PA wanted the 2 state? Does Bibi care how many inoocents are hurt?

But I agree with the mission of removing Hamas. That is the only way this can stop. Hamas can offer to relinquish power and release all the hostages and this ends.

Will the Palestinians be free and they get their lands back?

Will Gaza no longer be under control of Israel?

Hamas is just a pimple on the butt of the Middle East. A real sore spot, indeed, but getting rid of Hamas does not change the reality of the whole situation. Placing faith in getting rid of the pimple and it "ends" is foolish.

The other 98% should not be punished for a few crazy men's terror. But Gaza is now being terrorized!

In the poll, 53% of the 1,200 Palestinians surveyed said they believed Hamas is "most deserving of representing and leading the Palestinian people." By contrast, just 14% said the same of Fatah.

you think the citizens should get rid of the TERRORIST organization that is Hamas? That's rich coming from a country who can't get rid of Trump or control their own police force.

Has offered to release hostages in exchange for Israel stopping bombing? I read quite a few sources and the only offer I have seen is hostages for 6000 prisoners held by Israel.

He said he talked to a senior Hamas official.

Of course, I don't believe it one bit. Engel sounded skeptical as well, to which the Hamas official accused Engel of trying to be a negotiator rather than a journalist.
