Michigan Welfare Rights Organization v. Donald Trump, a lawsuit alleging that Trump, his campaign, and the Republican National Committee disenfranchised black voters in 2020, has been assigned to Judge Tanya Chutkan, the same DC judge that is overseeing his DC trial for interfering the the election.

The lawsuit alleges that Trump's attempts to overturn the election results violate the Voting Rights Act.

Judge Chutkan issued a limited gag order against Trump this week to prevent him making disparaging statements about Jack Smith, his family, the court, court personnel, and potential witnesses. If Trump continues with these attacks, Chutkan said she would impose sanctions.
