in fact it is disgusting and loathsome.

I can't see this as anything but support for Hamas.

Though I would argue that the statmeent shoulod be that Likud are fascists, not Israel. Most Israelis do not support such policies.

But the reason for this post is to paint Israel as the bad guys. As all this poster's are.

I do see a lot form the ISRAEL BAD crowd.

But it's important not to gloss over the creeping authoritarianism in Likud. Nutandyahoo is as bad as Orban in his authoritarianism.

I hope this mess finally ends the Likud madness.

I have supported Israel all of my adult life, I have defended Israelies and Jews worldwide, but there are people and policies within the state that I can not and will not support. To call those people or policies out, it not anti-Israel, but pro Israel. If people support policies that would mirror the evil policies of the Gestapo, don't expect us all to join the cheering section. There are paths that I will not follow out of some need to be loyal to the cause. That goes for the policies of Israel and the US.

Israel was the victim of a horrible assault. Nothing about the Hamas action can be defended on any ground, political, religious or moral. Israel has every right to defend its government and people; that does not mean that they are entirely blameless in the Middle East situation and it does not grant them license to violate human rights, either the human rights of their own people or their enemies. Israel needs to make war on Hamas, not their own people.

Blind Faith is best left to the name of a singing group.

Fascism with a healthy dose authoritarianism.
In what world is what was said about what Israel is doing ok?
I certainly don't believe in cracking down on political opinions that are different than the governments. That's dictator shit. It's scary. And it's simply wrong.

Calling out the bad doesn't equate to supporting Hamas. If I call out Republicans does that mean I hate America? If I call out Saudi Arabia does that mean I'm suddenly an Islamaphobe? Of course not.

Wrong is wrong no matter who's doing it. Period.
Let's not excuse atrocities committed & treat this like a video game where we pick a side when both sides are awful & deserve all of the criticism they receive.

It is possible to (rightfully) call out the proposal to lock people up for speech without declaring Israel is a fascist state as the (xweet?) does.

-not calling the OP antisemitic, just the referenced message.

https://www.hrw.org/report/2018/10/23/two-authorities-one-way-zero-dissent/arbitrary-arrest-and-torture-under

Both the Fatah-dominated Palestinian Authority (PA) in the West Bank and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Gaza have in recent years carried out scores of arbitrary arrests for peaceful criticism of the authorities, particularly on social media, among independent journalists, on university campuses, and at demonstrations. As the Fatah-Hamas feud deepened despite attempts at reconciliation, PA security services have targeted supporters of Hamas and vice versa. Relying primarily on overly broad laws that criminalize activity such as causing “sectarian strife” or insulting “higher authorities,” the PA and Hamas use detention to punish critics and deter them and others from further activism. In detention, security forces routinely taunt, threaten, beat, and force detainees into painful stress positions for hours at a time.
