Huffington Post going out of their way accusing President Biden trying to stifle members of

his administration from publicly expressing dissent.

Why would people who are part of an administration feel they have a right to publicly criticize that administration?

My view is, if they feel so inclined to do that, then they should resign. Why be part of an administration you don’t agree with?

Complicated issues are at work here. President Biden will be giving a talk tomorrow. I suspect he will be bringing back negotiations and a two-state solution.

should be made to feel like their job is in jeopardy for voicing their concerns. However, they also need to recognize that being heard does not equate to the President having to agree with what they want to do.

I may have missed it, but I didn’t see anyone in the article providing any examples of the President or senior staff actually threatening their jobs - if the fact that the President isn’t taking their advice makes them feel threatened, that’s on them. And if they feel strongly enough that they can’t support his policies, then they can always resign.

I don't know too many organizations (perhaps a university?) where you are free to run your mouth about anything you care to - especially if the context is directly critical and undercutting the position taken by the boss. You may not get fired (if you're fortunate) - but having somebody in your face with some real clear language? Oh, you bet!

So - - discouragement? It's too bad you were so stupid that we had to have this conversation ...
