Please make the old DU design available for non-star members.

I really like that look. It has a timeless quality to it.

2. I switched to the 'skinner' mode but it isn't the same

Only the basic look of individual pages is the same, all the specific placement of content is mostly stripped from the homepage. I'm not a happy camper as of now. I did like being able to rec comments, but that horrible flashing my account box was annoying. I mostly surfed from the old front page and read dozens of posts per day, not sure how I even figure out where my old stuff went to. I may try a archive.org snapshot from last week and see if I know where my main lists are threads have gone to now. Whew.

3. Yeah, the skinner mode is not a full DU3 version.

I would like that they give us the option to return to the full DU3 version. And those who like the new format can still continue using it. This isn't change. It's horrible web design.

13. Something To Try

I liked the columns showing time of last post, rolling count of recs, total views and the like.
I also wanted the forums on the left, and poster post counts, & in the upper right corner of the post, the post number to which a poster was replying.
But, I got none of that on my phone.
Then, I went to my browser (Chrome) menu & turned on Desktop View.
Voila! It looks just like DU3. Everything is one click except for My Posts which is 2 clicks now.
I think you'll like it much better. No Star membership required since it's a browser thing. I made no other changes to DU options.

14. I like to get a lay of the land.

This is so effing claustrophobic. 😔 The font is too big. I prefer to see a lot on one page. Why did they do this????? I love Trader Joe's but every so often they move shit around. Having worked retail health foods I know this corporate mentality. It seems to me it's simply to have something to do. It doesn't improve anything. And then there are the ilk who think that some people are just resistant to change.
