Tlaib refuses to apologize for blaming Israel for Gaza hospital blast, attacks Biden

I am on the Justice Democrat mailing list. I am getting daily emails asking for money for Tlaib to fight off the backlash to her comments. Some of these emails are really funny and assume that the people on the Justice Democrat mailing list hate Israel and Joe Biden.

Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib refused to apologize Wednesday for saying Tuesday that Israel is to blame for the hospital explosion that day in Gaza, an accusation that sparked political backlash against Tlaib from Republicans as Israel denies fault.

Tlaib joined thousands of protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza during a solidarity rally hosted by the left-leaning group Jewish Voice for Peace at the National Mall. She was visibly emotional, at times pausing her speech to openly weep and criticizing lawmakers who have not backed a ceasefire resolution......

Tlaib also slammed President Joe Biden for his support for Israel's actions since the Hamas terrorist attack.

"To my president, to our president ... I want him to know, as a Palestinian American and somebody in Muslim faith, I'm not going to forget this. And I think a lot of people are not going to forget this," Tlaib said.

From the desperate tone in these Justice Democrat emails, I suspect that Tlaib may be primaried.

Tommy Tuberville sucks. He makes republicans look as bad as they can possibly look. I know...it's not a big difference. But, he makes them look bad to Independents.

Tlaib is a Democrat..she's one of us. She makes us look like shit. Not just to republicans (they hate us anyways), but to Independents. She's a damn albatross hanging around our necks.

Israel can't let anyone in, they don't control Gaza in that manner, now, maybe after this is all said and done, and if, and that's a big if, they do control Gaza, maybe there will be an independent investigation.

But I won't go so far as to call her anger with and harsh criticism of the State of Israel as hatred. I understand how it might come off as that. I mean I don't know her well enough.

But there is a voice in this country that is highly critical of Israel from a Palestinian perspective. If she represents that, we have to be careful to not minimalize or suppress that anger and struggle for justice regardless of the motives of political leaders in the region.

And we shouldn't let her mistakes distract us. I suspect that Joe Biden has more compassion towards her than resentment. She has some arrogance and blind spots, but I can't say I'm as mad at her as I am at Joe Manchin or Kristen Sinema, whom the GOPs love.

The President and the Pentagon have both said this was a Hamas mistake. Accepting that does not mean she cannot still, rightfully, push for humanitarian aid and restraint from Israel in their counterattack.

But refusing to accept reality does not help her position.

The US has stated that it was likely a hamas missile and maybe I'm naive but I don't think they would intentionally lie about that with so much at stake.

There's still a chance that it wasn't hamas, but at the end of the day, officials have a large responsibility to use their platforms appropriately.

The truth is that many Palestinians have already died in this conflict. That fact, in and of itself is enough. Don't undermine actual facts by posting false shit. Tlaib and others should wait for all the facts before posting messages that millions, perhaps even billions of people will see. If you can't control yourself then don't post. It's that simple. That applies to any elected official past or present.

I have been following the Justice Democrats and its predecessor for a while including the "brand new congress group" and other groups created by Cenk, Kyle Kulinksi and their ilk. I am on the Justice Democrat email list and I have even listened once or twice to the Justice Democrat podcast which is amusingly called "Just Us" democrats. The Justice Democrats emails are fun to laugh at and I love the hatred this group shows to the Democratic Party, establishment Democrats and best of all corporate democrats.

The Justice Democrat group want to take over the Democratic party and remake into their image. I also do not want the Democratic Party to be taken over by the Justice Democrat group.
