A plea for help....
Right now food banks all across the country are hurting very bad. Winter is coming. The holidays are coming too. This time of the year is the most difficult for food banks & often the time poor & working class people need help the most.
I'm asking everyone on this website to help your local food banks.
Understand most of the times food banks go far beyond simply food but also offer things like feminine hygiene products, personal hygiene products, toiletries, bedding, clothing, & even safe sex contraceptives.
Please consider donating to your local food bank directly. I don't recommend entities like Goodwill & Salvation Army because not only do they not accept food, they are indirect action. What's needed is direct action & mutual aid.
To find your local food bank (if you're in a large urban area there will be several) simply Google 'food bank' along with your zip code. Consider calling & seeing what they're in need of.
I urge everyone to look through old clothes, canned food, boxes food like pasta to see what you have which could be donated.
