With each test my grade was worse than the one before.....

(5,555 posts)Although my Sophomore year, I had a teacher who recognized I had a learning disability, and figured out a way to use my strengths in reading and language, to help me understand math better. I ended up with a 91 on my regents, but failed Geometry the next year.
Hope Gymbo Dumbo fails in this vote as bad as I did in Geometry.

(42,037 posts)I almost had a nervous breakdown in Algebra, but I loved Geometry. I have no explanation for that.

(32,010 posts)your geometry teacher was probably adequate but not exceptional. That's too bad because it sounds like you are actually good at math, you just had average instruction that never really helped you realize your potential.

(6,680 posts)I bombed out in Algebra I. My mind just isn't wired for that. At the time I was told by my teacher that if I didn't master it I would regret it someday. Forty-some years later I am really dreading the day when I'll finally start to regret it.
