Instead of asking "Do you believe Joe Biden won the election"?

Day after day after day after day... this tiresome question, or some form of it, is asked by journalists and others (of both parties).

And it's always some form of the same vague answer: "I think there were problems with the election".

Predictable. Tiresome. Bullshit.

The question should be reframed by using a statement of fact, followed by a simple question:

"Donald Trump failed to provide evidence that the election was stolen by Joe Biden in over 60 court cases. Over 60 cases. SIXTY. Yet, you fail to admit that Joe Biden is the legitimate POTUS. How do you, in your own mind, reconcile this"?

The question "Did Joe Biden win the election" should never be asked again.

There were NOT problems with the election. The problem is recons refuse to accept the results of a free and fair election that flatly rejected them.

Donald Trump got his day in court 60 times and it's now 3+ years on and no evidence has ever been produced to substantiate claims of any wrongdoing that allowed Biden to win. Anybody claiming otherwise should be labled a "crank" and ignored. It reminds me so much of the whole Obama "birther" claim, which Trump was also at the forefront of back in the day, where Congressmen and other Republicans were asked about whether or not they believed that Obama is a natural-born citizen and the press was never able or willing to demand a straight answer from Republicans about why or why not they believed he is. Just.....make.it.stop.

Belief in anything cannot overcome objective truth. You can believe that the Eagles beat the NY Jets, but the objective truth is that the Jets defeated the Eagles handing them their lone loss of the season so far.

It's concern is to attract readers and viewers so it can sell time and space to advertisers who put money in the corporate vaults of the media owners -- by whatever means necessary, as they say. Sometimes the media stoops to report facts, but only if it sells.

There's the question you want to ask. What you are doing is called "steelmanning". It's pinning the interviewee to a well-defined position, consequences and all.

Stating there are irregularities in national election results is a tautology. There are always some irregularities somewhere on anything that large and complex. There are no consequences to asserting a tautology.

That's not the same as asserting that a state should recertify their results. There are costs to that, both in time and money. There is the risk of completely wasting those resources, and there is an opportunity cost of not focusing those resources elsewhere.

What say ye, Mr. Election Denier?
