We can only deduce that the entire Republican caucus in the House....

...supported the coup and the violent attack upon our Capitol.

Otherwise, why would they throw their unanimous support behind the architect of the Electoral College sham?

How could we assume otherwise?

They knew exactly who and what they were voting for.

Do you support Speaker Johnson's record of trying to overturn the 2020 election result? Remember, you voted to install him as Speaker.

He torpedoed anyone else. That's so when he loses the 2024 general, he has a lackey willing to overturn the result.

But if we kick ass in ‘24, we can make Jeffries speaker instead. Hey, no pressure, it's only our democracy on the line.

That he could never support someone who voted to decertify the election? ?

Did they all get caught up in a maddening crowd mentality?

1) Supporting an insurrectionist, or 2) Looking like idiots who can't get their act together and elect a leader.
Apparently #2 was the greater sin.

The whole "6 republicans might work with us" thing was always a pipe dream. I thought they would elect Jordan, and I'm glad I was wrong, but the truth wasn't far from that.

16. The R's needed to elect a Speaker. They had 2 choices:

1. Select someone willing to work with Democrats to fund our government.

2. Cave to the extreme seditionist Christo-fascist caucus.

They chose the latter, and may the bed they're lying in be their electoral grave.
