Libertarian is not libertarian, a bit of a rant.

Libertarian ends up being Conservative only more so. The original philosophy was quite a bit different.

From Britannica, here is a rather classic definition that sounds pretty nice. https://www.britannica.com/topic/libertarianism-politics
"libertarianism, political philosophy that takes individual liberty to be the primary political value. It may be understood as a form of liberalism, classical liberalism in particular, the political philosophy associated with the English philosophers John Locke and John Stuart Mill, the Scottish economist Adam Smith, and the American statesman Thomas Jefferson. Liberalism seeks to define and justify the legitimate powers of government in terms of certain natural or God-given individual rights. These rights include the rights to life, liberty, private property, freedom of speech and association, freedom of worship, government by consent, equality under the law, and moral autonomy (the ability to pursue one’s own conception of happiness, or the “good life”)"

Now things are quite a bit different. Before the Koch brothers took over the Libertarian party, and turned it into a more outwardly acceptable form of their John Birch Society it might have been arguably for Libertarian ideals. But like Lyndon LaRouche back then and Jordan Peterson today, a close examination made it clear that Libertarian might look good on the surface and seem to make sense but it goes into Q territory quick when you examine it.

Libertarian and libertarian had and have strong differences. It used to be for pot smoking but no enough to actually fight for it. It was for women's rights in word, but it wasn't going to actually push for equal pay, equal chances, equal education or those pesky rape kits to be actually used for anything. In other words, it wasn't ever for the rights of women. Now days it's just nonsense that Bill Maher and Penn Jillette can use to try to sound like they are cool while being rather icky.

So the modern libertarian worships the free market, but cares little about a woman's rights to her own body. They are delighted to identify Robert A. Heinlein as a self declared libertarian, but omit that he was not a fan of Ayn Rand. When Heinlein said libertarian, he meant the classic definition. Not the Koch brothers rewrite.

So when someone says Libertarian Party, remember that it means libertarian in the same way that the Republican Party means republican. In other words, not at all. Republican means based on the group ownership and will of the people. Every time they gerrymander or otherwise rig an election they prove they are against the Republic being a republic.

So right now, the Democratic Party is also the party that is actually republican and libertarian. All other parties are lies.

Now about the free market. You make a market without government intervention. Hello mob have a free market, yours on a plate. You make a market without government intervention, hello flames, hello pollution, hello deceit. They say they are against the deceit, but the same folks shoot down truth in advertising every chance they get. If they still had their way, cigarettes would still be advertised as good for you health. So it all goes to lies.

By the way, how quick are they going to give up law suits, corporations, patents and copyrights? That's all government stuff. So no. No one. Absolutely no one believes in a free market. They just say they do cause they want to do what they want to do while invading your bedroom and conference with your doctor.

They rant about their tAx doLLarS and think they're very anti-something. But ask one if s/he would like to pay a monthly fee to their local fire department and they fold.

Capitalism stated that markets need to be regulated to prevent monopolies from taking over. He was correct.

Then suddenly, after all their crowing about how great Republicans were, it was "Actually, I'm really more of a Libertarian."
