I'm sorry, I can't give a good link to where I heard this. So, take it with a grain of salt.
The PLC is like a junior judge, sometimes having more influence in a trial than you would imagine. PLC is a pathway to becoming a judge, and a lot of them do become judges.
On the $10,000 day that gave Trump a headache, Alina Haba started the day's cross exam by trying to get Judge Egoron to admonish the PLC from apparently making faces at her. Egoron blew that off. Then, later at the first break, Trump made his famous remark.
Then, Trump had to take the stand and testify under oath that he didn't mean the PLC (and everybody knows that he did) which he is under a gag order about. The Judge announced that he found the witness (Trump) to be uncredible (a liar) and sanctioned him $10,000.
So, everybody by now knows the story, but I myself did not know that Haba had started things off by attacking the PLC at the beginning of the second day of cross. A lot of people are starting to question why Trump began attacking the PLC anyway. Could it be that Trump was sticking up for Haba? That wouldn't explain the first time he attacked, which got him the gag order.
I find it weird that she is still working as his trial lawyer, because he is using the fact that he is not getting a jury trial to gin up support. But not only was the box not checked, but a few said that he was not allowed by statute to have one anyway, which would take the burden off Haba. I haven't looked the statute up. But, I find his outrage deceitful.
So, I just think that it was a morning where there was an attempt to deflect attention and disrupt the Cohen testimony, which did not work for Trump. I just think that it is interesting. It could be also that Trump is just naturally angry at a woman who is clearly on the opposition side against him.

(17,802 posts)Either last night or the night before. Michael popack covered it. He is a ny trial defense lawyer (also practices in Palm beach).
What you posted is almost exactly what he said.

(8,103 posts)I do watch Meidas Touch a lot. This is probably where I heard it for sure. They are good reporters with credentials in the field, and lots of experience.

(102,723 posts)He seriously is willing to attack anyone because he can't handle what is happening and needs to stop it no matter what. I expect him to throw himself to the floor and wail like a petulant child at some point before this is over.
And I still have a BINGO card with "spontaneous combustion" in the middle!
