It looks like Israel's strategy is becoming clearer

It looks like this will not be over any time soon as Israel seems to be intent on destroying any infrastructure Hamas has starting with their tunnel network. Tunnel fighting is brutal and I am not sure Israel won't find it easier to collapse the tunnels with explosives, this will trap anyone in them and has the possibility to bring down buildings. I tend to side with the explosives but that is for selfish reasons, my grandnieces husband returned to Israel to do his duty as a reservist and his unit is on the Gaza border.

It is interesting that some people assume that operations would be easier if the hostages were released. That seems to imply that some non-combatant lives may hold different value.
