They are the only westernized, mostly secular democracy in the area. Their gov is the least corrupt in the area. They are in a strategic location. And they are a nuclear power.

Is a right wing autocrat. But their elections are every bit as democratic as ours.

I don't understand those who want us to abandon the only real ally we have in the region?

is important.

Rightwingers fetishize them over stupid end-times crap and the Bible.

Democrats might "fetishize" them over Jewish people being an important constituency.

And are the ones who fetishize Israel. There are conflicts all around the world that no one pays attention to including the UN.

Israel has had a robust democracy since it's inception, and yet you compare them with dictatorships like Russia. Why do you do that? Are you willing to admit your wrong? If not, why?

Israel had the 27th highest GDP and yet you claim that the US "props" them up. How do they do that? Can you be specific? And why does that matter to you?

So the Israelis are just going to roll over and cede their land and homes to whoever the UN decides to put in their place?

Yup…that’s how it works…in a FAIRY TALE.
