Netanyahu has said there will be no cease fire with Hamas anymore that the U.S. granted a cease fire after Pearl Harbor or 9/11.

(18,859 posts)Hamas wanted a terrorist attack so big that the reaction would turn 2/3 the world against Israel for a generation.
So far, successful.
Israel and the US are giving Hamas exactly what they hoped for.

(5,410 posts)'cease-fire', but Israel pre-empted them....
I suppose the U.S. did not grant any 'cease-fire' after Charleston began their bombardment on Fort Sumter, either....
At least there were very few civilians residing at that target, I presume....

(7,367 posts)...all the years he's been in power will now be permanently tarnished by this. And has to know this may be the end of him, hell, he blamed the intelligence heads in a twitter post but later retracted and apologized, so even now, he's trying to deflect blame. Add to the fact he was trying to be Putin-lite and the military warned his escapades was harming their ability to defend the country and he dismissed it...not a good look.
The only way he can salvage some of his legacy is eliminate Hamas and the irony, he enabled and fed this monster.
