Republican Honeymoon With Mike Johnson Is Over

House Speaker Mike Johnson united his often-divided Republican colleagues in a rare event last week, but the GOP honeymoon was short-lived.

House Republicans returned to Congress on Monday to continue their intra-party feuds on government spending, aid to Ukraine, the southern border and the possible expulsion of Representative George Santos.

The various battles within the House GOP seemed to fall to the wayside last week when the entire conference rallied behind Johnson's speakership bid, electing the Louisiana Republican on the first round of voting. His easy accession to the gavel painted Johnson as a unifying force for a party that had spent more than three weeks struggling to find a new leader after Kevin McCarthy was ousted by eight of his fellow Republicans.

Despite a blissful start, Johnson is facing a rocky beginning to his first full week as House Speaker.

so if things reach the boiling point, it's back to Armageddon.

And either way, we are still on the road to shutdown with no passable bills in sight.

He's been in their conference all along, why haven't anyone heard anything about him until now?

Now that he's in the spotlight, if anything, his actions speak louder than words, and every action is going to be scrutinized heavily.

I daresay he's going to find it rough going. Witness the unanimous 100% vote for him by repugs, they obviously didn't like the bad press when they couldn't pull it together until they got him voted in.

5. GOP has no one that can fix their level of dysfunction. If one vote vacate rule isn't changed, he won't last.

Just a matter of time until somebody on the GOP side gets miffed and throws Johnson under the clown car.

As always.

GOP are full-on occultists.

They have so much to hide.

We still don't know how many of our nation's top defense secrets are held and being peddled to our enemies by the GOP's
corrupt leader.
