'Who Wants To Tell Him?': Trump Mocked Over Baffling 'Great Country' Announcement

In a new post on his Truth Social website, Donald Trump attacked President Joe Biden, complained about his growing legal problems and made a strange claim about the name of the country if he wins next year’s election.

“We’re gonna have a great country. It’s gonna be called the United States of America,” he said, neglecting the obvious fact that the country is already called the United States of America.

It’s unclear what the former president meant by that, but it comes on the heels of another odd moment on the campaign trail involving the name of the country he hopes to lead.

Last week, Trump said he noticed for the first time that the abbreviation for the United States also spells the word “us.

He thinks our country was called Trump America, like Saudi Arabia. Seems the words United States are new to him.That's why he just realized abbreviated it could mean the word us, like a baby discovering his first words.....

He's changing the name of the country...when he becomes president, in the far and distant imaginations of Christian Nationalists. It will go from Trump America, like Saudi Arabia, to United States of America.

Agreed. Not only does he know deep down that he's not very bright, he knows that nothing he can ever do will stop him being not bright for the rest of his life. Maybe the genetic stakes were loaded against him from birth. Maybe his childhood didn't stimulate him in essential ways at key developmental stages. Maybe he's always been a lazy, insufferable bully who knows best about everything, therefore nobody could ever teach him anything.

Much has been made of the fact that he uses low-reading age language, and according to some that makes him a great communicator to his fans. I don't think that's even a selfconscious tactic. That's simply what his thought processes are like.
