I keep thinking of how we can get the American people to learn how dangerous Trump is

There are plenty of anti-trump documentaries around. What if we got Netflix, Amazon Prime and other mainstream news channels, (I don't have cable anymore so I don't know what they are there but I'm sure others know) to play these documentaries, (I know a lot of them are being played now) There is "Unfit" that I saw somewhere. It is the one where the psychologists actually explain how the man is dangerously mentally ill. Unfit should be playing on NBC and CBS among others. There are even older ones from before he was even president - one where he sued to stop it from playing but obviously I saw it so it is out there.

I know I have seen several documentaries out now and I think that is great. I just want to see more and see more in more venues.

The republicans know how to spread their bullshit far and wide. We need to spread the truth far and wide.

I just did a search for anti-Trump documentaries. Netflix has plenty. We just need to get them to push them to ordinary people turning in.

There are more. What I think is happening is there are too many people who just read headlines and are basically ignorant of what is really going on and how the government works and how a president affects the country. Ads can explain these things in clever ways also. People do not know that one of the first things that happens in a country that is heading to fascism is the takeover of the media. There are plenty of trump quotes about how he plans on stifling the media. And there are people who know a lot more than me the dangerous things he tried to do at the end of his term, (after he lost) and the dangerous things he will do if elected.

I think if he is elected we will not see another election in a long time. He scares the shit out of me and he should scare the shit out of most of our electorate. The question is "Why doesn't he?"

5. I'm all for helping people understand how dangerous Trump is and why...

...and I am mindful that months of news about his court cases may have their effect. We are going to be hearing a lot about what can be proven, and not statement has hit the news yet.

All that said, I don't take it for granted that people will understand who Trump is and what he has done. The media has been covering him for years and corporations have put a lot of time and effort into shaping his image. Some people buy the phoniness that is reality TV and/or have authoritarian fantasies about a strongman to rescue them.

Add to that all the people who will dig in and double down because they don't want to change their support now and we have our work cut out for us.

No matter what, Trump's going to look worse as the months and years pass. But for now there's a slice of the electorate invested in the idea that he's their guy.

MSNBC is owned by Comcast. Comcast. CEO is Brian Roberts, a Dem. But MSNBC also carries conservative hosts/programs like Scarborough. As a for profit channel, its main concern is the bottom line.

Fox is a for profit channel, but is controlled by shares held by the Murdoch family trust and by shares held by Murdoch himself. Even if Fox did not make money, Murdoch can prop it up.

What I have in mind is liberal radio and TV programming sponsored by non profit left/liberal foundations and individuals, with no conservative programming. Their purpose would be to support news and entertainment programming for liberal values and causes and to provide hard, factual pushback on RW disinformation.

Even a for profit corporate channel controlled by a liberal trust or individual, like Fox operates, would help us.

We also need more left wing owned talk radio stations. RW Clear Channel dominates talk radio now.

These are the same people who lynched black people, burned down Tulsa, held Nazi rallies in New York, acted like animals towards black kids integrating schools, bombed black churches and federal buildings, and murdered civil rights workers and abortion doctors.

They never went anywhere, and they have not changed in the least. They are who they have always been.

America and Americans who aren't monsters need to wake up and face that reality.
