(10,966 posts)That tells me all I need to know about the people at this protest.
People who do not push back when they encounter this are complicit.
There are too many who think if they pretend this doesn't exist, somehow everyone else will pretend along with them.
That will not be happening. A lot of eyes have been opened to what has been going on under the radar in colleges. They're not going to be inclined to close them again when they see people the same age as their kids lusting after the murder of Jews.

(744 posts)What would your attitude be to someone who called 9/11 a glorious day and that the images of people joyfully celebrating made them feel so empowered and happy?
Or, as someone yelled out from the crowd about October 7th, "long live 9/11!".
C'mon, now. This woman clearly is happy about the deaths that happened on that day. If you are too at least admit it and don't pretend to play dumb.

(10,966 posts)Why are you defending this stuff?
This isn't the first time, either.
I mean, mask-off, great. I get it. Everyone can see you. But why are you defending this stuff here, particularly when we have so many Jewish posters?

(2,700 posts)She keeps her explicit comments to the military victory, rather than the killing of civilians. However, the question is whether those things can in fact be separated...

By "bring it to the streets" does she mean do the same to Jews in the US?

And maybe the other speaker is too? I'm not particularly surprised that a Muslim activist is celebrating 10/7 or tearing down Hostage posters.
I suspect many of the Anti-Israel chants featured in protests this last weekend (from the river to the sea, back to '48) were led by Muslim-American organizers.

No one has an inherent right to a visa. Come here, celebrate terrorism, and tell people to bring your shit "to the streets!"
Yeah, you can go now.

(3,477 posts)Supporting, showing sympathy for, and advocating for the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people is one thing, and is entirely okay.
Supporting, celebrating, and cheering about a savage terrorist attack that deliberately targeted civilians for kidnap, rape, torture, mutilation, and murder is something else altogether.
I'm sure the Jewish students she attends classes with feel very secure in her presence.
