Some GOP said this last election cycle
.to step away from abortion banning attempts
Problem for them is that big pro life organizations are hooked up with the GOP..giving politicians letter grades on how anti abortion they are.
Susan b anthony. Americans for life, students for life..they will flip out if GOP goes soft on abortion

(60,320 posts)Democrats can constantly repeat that Republicans have a history of opposing and taking away people's rights, from women to people of colour to non-normie sexuality.
In particular, Republicans have taken away women's rights in high places (SCOTUS 6-3) and low places (tRump country).
Hammer it home. Make it real to voters so they don't have to imagine. It is a fact. Let the voters know. Again and again.
That and Republicans can't govern because they are beholden to enriching the ultra-rich.

(40,969 posts)but not any real walk on walking back the heinous legislation they've already passed. Most of them genuinely believe men are better than women & a bunch of them are pissed that they have to compete with women so anything to set us back, to put us at a disadvantage, to show us our place, is good for them. Small, petty, men.

and all those huge money-making "pro-life" nonprofits and lobbying groups will suddenly be singing a new tune
