The IRS has collected $160 million from rich tax cheats the past few months

It audited Microsoft and found that they owe $29 billion in back taxes.

And the agency is making it easier to file taxes through free-filing programs.

We finally funded the IRS, and it's working.

Great. Explain to our Republican friends that we'll use to "pay for" arms for Ukraine. No new debt. EarnestPutz Nov 2023 #1

Pay up!

If you can't trust big corporations to pay their taxes fairly, who can you trust?

Go IRS! Round up them doggies! (Or dollars)

can get away with not paying any taxes. You'll have a massive "loss, due to theft" to declare and you won't pay any taxes.

How to make a million dollars & pay no taxes.
First, make a million dollars.
Then, pay no taxes. Then, just tell the IRS "I forgot".

Auditing Microsoft must be a complicated, drawn out task.

What I do not understand is how Microsoft missed it. Surely THEY have the budget and personnel to accurately assess their tax liability. They also have enough money to pay their tax bill and still have enough left over to wipe out the deficit of most medium-sized countries on three continents.

to more tax audits....they did not tell you it was to audit the rich and well to do which take more time and knowledge, as the welloff,s audits are far more complicated than the common man's hence more expensive to audit due to time and knowledge ,but they played the common man by not being honest just letting the common man come to the conclusion it was they who would be in the spotlite of auditing....suckered many again by not telling the rest of the story...don't just love how the rich play you..
