The Fulton County DA says she wants to prosecute the Georgia RICO case "all the way to the top of the ladder" and not just prosecute the flunkies and "street level" criminals in the organized gang.
With all due respect, what kind of lawyer doesn't realize that her jurisdictional authority doesn't include Vladimir Putin?

(4,741 posts)Ice outside of a freezer doesn't last long.
When I was on town pass from basic training in San Antonio, late July, Mum and I went to one of the riverwalk cafes and chose to eat al fresco. We ordered iced tea to go with our meal. I was rather surprised at how much ice was in the glasses.
I wasn't surprised after all of the ice melted before the appetizer arrived.

I spent an entire summer, May to September, living in the Anza-Borrego desert, Some nights it would cool down to +110F.
We didn't have ice at all.

(28,732 posts)and it appears that Neal Katyal overreacted to Fani Willis saying her trial would go into 2025. Fani was responding to a question about how long the trial would take. Fani's answer was based on many possible Trump appeals, I mean the way Trump rolls he is going to drag out his trials.

(2,923 posts)and he seemed rather indignant about the timeline Willis quoted saying that if Trump wins the election before being found guilty, he can't be imprisoned in any way. Willis on the other hand often reminds us that it's her job to follow the law with an absence of political considerations. But there may not really be that much daylight between them .
All I know is I'd love to see that loser lose everything and go to prison.

(8,404 posts)side effect that his health may do so too. If he loses enough of what props up his ego ($$$$$), or can no longer negotiate the outcome of one of the trials, or gets incarcerated to where he has no contact with anyone other than his lawyers, then he might rapidly decline.
According to her he lives in and on substantial denial. When he cannot deny his situation or get someone else to do it for him will be the point where he begins to fall apart.
IMO he should have been rendered incommunicado before this as a security threat to the nation. They did that with Noriega and others on the basis that they knew national secrets which might become public or transmitted to a 3rd party.

(4,741 posts)Because it's quite possible to survive falling from 2-3 stories. I fell out of a tree from approximately 2.5 stories up as a kid. Only knocked the wind out of me, not even a strained muscle. Maybe because I landed on grass and the ground was nearly squishy from springtime rain.
Probably cushioned the fall.

Although TFG's case, he does have some built-in cushioning.
