Bring it on Rural Man of the People Manchin.
Take on President Biden. Lay out your common sense, 3rd way vision for all to see. Tell us what you'd do differently. Tell us all the ways you disagree with that dirty filthy hippie Joe Biden. Let's hear it. Let's hear you tell the world specifically what your policy agenda is. After all, the country is just thirsting for your common sense rural West Virginia wisdom.
This asshole, with his $300.00 haircuts, his seaweed wrapped face, his perfectly manicured nails, his Brooks Brothers suits and fancy cufflinks, sitting on his houseboat in the Potomac with a who's who of GOP rattfuckers making their plans.
We know what you're up to FUCKFACE.

He is not popular with anyone but his corporate owners who only wanted to be associated with him to gain access.

(28,836 posts)why are we so worried about him running?
I'm partly being sarcastic, but I keep seeing this claim that no one likes him or will support him, so my query is not entirely unserious.
Manchin is much less extreme than many are willing to admit, and there are a lot of people who don't identify with either party (but lean one way or the other) who may find him appealing as a candidate.
Just because we don't doesn't mean no one does. I think there's a lot of projection going on where Joe Manchin is concerned.
Personally, I don't think he's going to run. I could certainly be wrong, but I don't think he's going to run for something he almost certainly won't win. I also don't buy the notion that he would run just to assist Trump. That makes no sense.
If his motivation is solely money, which many claim, then he can probably make more in the private sector or as a political consultant, making the rounds on TV for the next few years.

(11,203 posts)I honestly think his asking price, once he has no vote in Congress, will never be met again.

(5,062 posts)No Labels is not going to want a candidate that ticked off so many Dems. And anything on his own is a non-starter due to lack of money, and as noted in original post, no real agenda other than he was a spoiler, which ain't an agenda to run for Prez on.

(37,516 posts)I've seen speculation, but haven't seen an announcement or anything that indicates the groundwork for running.
So this strikes me as the implication of a possibility held to be fact.
(And yet I've spent 90 seconds on it and a few joules of electricity derived from fossil fuels. Meh.)
