PepsiCo should have Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut. They literally bought Taco Bell because they wanted them to serve Pepsi products but Taco Bell said no. So PepsiCo bought the entire restaurant chain and said well now you do serve Pepsi products. Savage lol.

I remember 30 or so years ago (maybe on SNL?), where each congress-critter had to wear a nascar-style jacket with all their donors on it. We really need to have that as a lot of these smiling, glad-handing, big promise folks have many strings attached to them that will ensure that We the People never, ever are truly represented.

Question: Am I misinterpreting? Is this just retail sales? Are big fossil fuel, big pharma, insurance, finance, arms dealers, and such not listed?

Thanks!

Someone's gotta pay for the oceanfront mansions, superyachts, the attorneys and accountants, the brats' drug rehab - and above all, the mistresses (you know how they get).

Now - shaddap and buy.

BlackRock and Vanguard are the two biggest companies in the world, with $18 Trillion in assets held notably in big tech and big pharma. Whoever these 11 own, someone owns them; e.g., KraftHeinz is owned by Berkshire Hathaway.

Then take a look at who just BlackRock owns

What is required is "significant and durable market power" -- if you can do pretty much as you please without worrying about the actions of competitors, then you don't really have competition.

The danger of a monopoly is that it can use its power in one market segment to inject itself into another and swallow that, too.
