Just think one year from now...

One year from now we'll be in one of two places.

One. Joe Biden will have been re-elected. Defeating Donald Trump for the second time. And Democrats and
never-Trumpers will be able to breathe a sigh of relief. As a bonus we'll get to look forward to years of Trump being on trial in several states and hopefully convicted in every single one.

Two. Donald Trump will have been elected President. And President Biden, being a good man and defender of democracy, will graciously concede defeat and begin an orderly transition of power.

And millions of people in America and around the world who hate Trump and understand what a psychopath he is will have to try to mentally prepare (once again) for 4 years of his misery, insanity, instability and cruelty. And wonder if they'll actually survive a second Trump term and if he'll ever voluntarily leave office again.

America has never faced 2 clearer paths in an election. Hopefully that because crystal clear when primary season starts and Trump's insanity will be in their faces everyday.

Trumps insanity has been in our faces for nearly a decade now.
the press is still all goggly eyed over him and nothing short of a coronary will spare us his constant attention.

They are totally unaware of his social media posts, rallies and criminal cases.

A lot of Americans pride themselves on avoiding reading and watching the news especially political coverage.

That's why they've been able to memory hole what a disaster his Presidency was especially his final year in office.

It's hard for cable news, journalists, legal experts and authors to reach the "ignorance is bliss" crowd. They're definitely trying to warn people about a Trump 2.0 administration but it's like screaming into a void.

the orange psychopath has some sort of medical emergency, and we will be spared as the rest of the world breathes a sigh of relief. As we all did in 2020.

If the big money behind the Republican Party decides they really do have a chance to unseat Joe Biden, I think they will make sure that their nominee is someone other than Trump. I think Trump only has a chance at the nomination if their PTB has already ceded the election to Biden (like they did with Dole vs. Clinton in 1996 and McCain vs. Anydemocrat in 2008), and they will concentrate on trying to take the Senate and keep the House.

He said the GOP donor class is dying to get rid of Trump and have another nominee. They already tried to get DeSantis and Tim Scott to break through but nothing worked.

He said the reality is a majority of Republicans voters just love Trump and will accept no substitutes. The donors are fighting a losing battle. And if they did find a way to deny Trump the nomination at the convention he'll burn the whole party down.

Haley is in the wings, but she’s wet powder with most of the cultists I know. Unless she’s standing absolutely alone against any Democrat. Even then, it won’t be the fascist wing of the Republican Party who would vote for her.

You see... if the RNC or someone else in power waved a magic wand and said "No Trump in 2024"...

The backlash would be extreme.

The GOP candidate in 24 might fail to crack 40 million votes, probably losing 40 States.

It would take a decade or more for the GOP to gain back the kind of numbers Trump delivered in 16, 20 and probably 24.

The SMART thing for the GOP to do is support Trump in 24 with the acceptance that he will probably lose BUT the GOP doesn't lose the Trump base in 28 to get behind another candidate.

If Trump loses any primary race he'll claim the election was rigged. And imagine what he'll do if he loses the general election. He'll blame voter fraud and disloyal RINO's.

I think that's what a lot of Republican donors are afraid of. That they'll never rid their party of Trumpism.

The era of 400+ Electoral College votes is over. Haley would not lose 40 states, that's for sure.

Sinclair, for example, controls far too many small broadcast stations and newspapers around the country. News anchors who failed to spew the right words were fired.

I have trouble believing that big dollar donors have little influence in Republican primaries. Far too many candidates, at all levels, regurgitate lines from Fox, OAN, etc.

If he is elected, there's a good chance he and his cronies will destroy Medicare. That will leave me without access to medical care, pulmonary meds, and my life-saving weekly infusions. I'll be dead before his four years are up.
