Some people don't work 50 years and pay taxes annually.

Some people work 3-4 years and then care for children for 12-13 years and then go back to work for 5-6 years and then become caretakers for their parents...

These people on the lower end of SS will receive around... $850/mo

Want to help people? Make the MINIMUM SS payment $1500/mo

Raise the SS tax limit cap to 250k...

get $1500. That would make SS a welfare program. To get SS you have to work 40 quarters and it is based on
what you pay into it. I am all for lifting the cap to whatever you make with no limit. Setting a $250,000 cap may help
make the program solvent but not if you start raising the payments, it will just compound the problem.

But I'd taper off at the top...

Most people who really made a great living (me included) aren't too hung up on getting another $300 a month to MY SS.

And maybe from the same place that aid for Ukraine and Israel comes from? Or the DoD?

If you make it line item #1 on the budget, everything else will work itself out.

I am short one quarter to get SS when I am eligible because I stopped working to raise my children. It should count.

Flame away but it's true. A lot of people who have been helped have been really ungrateful. Democrats have fought so hard to help people, especially after covid, and to have the polls so close now is like a slap in the face, especially with everything that's at stake. People are choosing to be ignorant and uninformed.

Anyway, Biden should double down on minority and younger voters. 4 things would guarantee victory - Promise that:

1) Marijuana will be legalized. People imprisoned for MJ will be freed.

2) Police brutality will be illegal in this country

3) Interfering with voting rights will be illegal in this country (MG must IMMEDIATELY respond to the bullshit appeals Court ruling on Voting Rights)

4) Interfering with abortion rights will be illegal in this country (all women's reproductive rights will be restored and upheld on the federal level)

5) LGBT discrimination will be illegal

Don't overthink it, just promise it then spend the next 4 years blasting everyone who is obstructing the promises that were made.
