I think the people most "concerned" about Biden's age are those in the national press, who want either a close election or for tffg [the fat former guy] to win.

Reagan was almost 10 years younger than Joe. He was faltering from hidden Alzheimer's Disease. And the media was touting "The Reagan Revolution" in 1984 when he ran for re-election.

The phrase is "alt und verbraucht," or "old and used up." EXACTLY the same thing the US media, at Republican urging, was using against Hillary in 2016, and now against Biden. Why not against Trump? Two reasons, as I see it. One, the Republican media bosses don't want it, and two: anyone who doesn't already see this in Trump will vote for him even if he crawls to a podium on live TV, wearing only a diaper, babbling about the price of sand in the Sahara, and yelling "Armenia First" while waving a Russian flag.

I think many, if not most, Republicans don't like or respect Trump. What he does is not important to them. He's some kind of demented mascot. If he's a crook, he's their crook. If he's a traitor, he's their traitor. They do not hold him accountable and they do not expect to be held accountable for supporting him. The media calls MAGA a cult, but I don't see Trump as a charismatic leader. He is tolerated with covert eye-rolls. I think the most important unifying factor for Republican supporting voters is a well-cultivated sense of victimhood. They respond to Pavlovian push buttons.

They call it an Administration for a reason. Joe has been in government for decades as a lawmaker and now over a decade working in the Whitehouse putting those laws into action. He KNOWS how the government works and applies that knowledge.

And it is not just Joe Biden. He has assemble a team to run the government of the entire country. Yes he has the final say on policies and actions but lets his subject experts do what they do. He has done what a true leader should do and set up the team so that things can carry on smoothly with him presiding or if he has to hand things to his #1 assistant.

And then to compare this to the clown show, train wreck that was and is Donald Trump where everything was about him and not the people of this country.

Drama and Chaos vs Calm and Cool Competency.

I am astounded how many of our electorate choose the incompetent Clown show.

Constructive participation in democracy requires effort- and that effort is optional. The clown show dismisses the need to explore issues and embrace empathy for others. It substitutes Punch and Judy entertainment that values shock over substance and panders to cheers and jeers from the audience.
