He was driving a $300,000 Bentley.
His wife was also in the car.
Looks like a terrible accident.
This according to CNN.

(923 posts)I mean, I wouldn't have gone back when I was 15. They were already lame. And I *am* 51.
Kiss sucks (IMO). Like, really, really, really sucks (IMO).
So under 15? Nah. Kids' taste in music is *always* bad, but the kids who liked Kiss had particularly BAD taste.
I have 10 years on you. KISS was not my thing, but you know what! at about the same time there was a douchebag named Ted Nugent that was popular. Fourteen year old me could stomach Kiss over Ted.

(15,634 posts)so, KISS? Way too much circus - way too little ...
(I'll only lighten that by saying - they were far from the first - or only - ones to try to make it by on theatrics ... )

Ironically, the best Kiss song I know of, Detroit Rock City, is about a car accident.

(6,066 posts)He talked about how Gene Simmons sat them down one night and taught them some music stuff. Rush just played by ear at first and when in their first tour opening for KISS Gene mentored them. I thought that all sounded cool.

(327 posts)Wouldnt bother now, but saw them twice in the late 70s, at their peak. Most of us realized right off they werent extraordinary musicians, but they wrote songs with lyrics and arrangements that almost cartoonishly mimicked how predictable radio rock had become once it was corporatized following the hippie era. And I bet they did that quite intentionally, like their own little inside joke.
More importantly, they chose extreme theatrics as their biggest distinction, nodding to Bowie, Alice Cooper, and even some then-current showy groups, like the New York Dolls. To that end they succeeded, insomuch that they never had to be compared to other artists just based on their music and performing skills.
Anyone going to a KISS concert these days is probably reliving their youth, or possibly curious if their showiness can still impress despite the dated music.

(58,029 posts)the little people, killed himself and his wife in stupid accident. I think that group is a terrorist attack to most of America.
