And, with college football? The student section of just about any school (outside perhaps the military academies?) - is almost guaranteed to give him the business.
The lesson here? Stay home, and in your own little insulated playroom, you fat bloated pig!

(22,590 posts)Those places might welcome Slobby with open arms, but they're not known for fielding high level athletic teams, so if he wants to watch college football, he'd best stay home!

You're right about the Academies..Any Cadet that openly booed Hair Fuhrer at a game would be in DEEP shit.

(114,615 posts)He was arriving outside, where protest crowds were likely to be
I have to wonder about his reception inside, where more of his fan club was.
Still, it's nice to see him getting razzed in SC, if that's where they played. It's even nicer to know the boos ruined his whole evening.

(97,626 posts)Trump was booed as he waited on his car as his advance team assembled the people to cheer him. You can see him peering out pensively from his car as the boos rained down, waiting to pull away to where Cheung/Miller were assembling the adoring fans
Booed in Republican Iowa. Now booed in deep red South Carolina.
Trump's popularity is a facade. Like all autocrats, his image is carefully managed by his handlers and advance team for the social media influencer propagandists. On the very rare occasions where Trump ventures out of his protective bubble, things don't go well for him.

(114,615 posts)I don't think he's going to draw a young crowd anywhere.
I wonder how much they had to pay his claque.
Most of his claque comes cheap, a MAGA hat will do.

(3,096 posts)more troubling is that they were mainly booing at the Clemson team on the other side who arrived at the same time.
SC is in trouble, they've fallen for the MAGA line. Go watch the video of him walking onto the field tonight, it's not so funny.

(18,613 posts)The left leaning Xitter posters show video that he was boo'ed by a couple dozen people outside the event.
Then right leaning Xitter posters show video where he is wildly cheered inside the stadium...
If one is relying on Xitter or ANY social media for reality... you're looking in the wrong place.

(15,463 posts)I've seen 2 or 3 local media (print and TV) that had it as a warm welcome and applause. And Newsweek is calling it both ways - cheers and jeers. Looks to me like both sides are trying to 'manage' the feed here - including having their own groups of supporters at strategic locations.

That's not correct. Moving the goal posts?
WarGamer
(18,613 posts)Go to Xitter... there are MANY tweets of people BOOING and people CHEERING.
Depends on who the Xitter poster is and what narrative they're forming.
Just like I said above.
Do I need to link them all for you?
paleotn
(22,215 posts)Your words.
I think the point is he's not all that well received even in venues that lean very heavily red. Not like he got booed when he showed up at the library. Why that seems to bother you, I really don't know.
WarGamer
(18,613 posts)When I say MANUFACTURED...
I'm talking about the tweets and the circumstances around them.
On the clip widely distributed on the Left, it's a couple dozen protestors OUTSIDE the stadium, staged to get video.
On the clip widely distributed on the Right, a couple hundred Trump supporters filled a parking area where the motorcade entered the stadium and cheered wildly.
The people who post these videos are trying to drive a narrative, "Look Trump is (un)popular"
When you take away the manufactured circumstance, inside the stadium... Trump is met by a mix of boos and cheers, just like the USA in general.
One more time, those on social media are trying to create a narrative that doesn't match reality.

(18,613 posts)Are you a Titans fan? Rough year but been a franchise fan since the 80's when they were the Oilers.
I recall a lovely week I spent in Nashville a few years back. I caught a game and then fulfilled a bucket list item by scouting the remains of the Battle of Franklin battlefield, finding geographical features and markers of the battle which is now mostly covered by modern Franklin...
And of course, the wonderful Carter House...

(22,215 posts)The odds lean heavily that he'll win SC. By exactly 12 points? That's an interesting statement. But then again, that's really not the point.
