I have read many times that Gaetz wants to Gov of Florida.

House GOPers gunning for Gaetz as ethics probe expands to 'broader range' of violations

Rep. Matt Gaetz's (R-FL) role as the ringleader behind the ouster of former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has created enduring resentment among more than a few of the Florida Republican's House colleagues who have grown weary of his grandstanding ways.

According to a report from the Daily Beast's Sam Brodey, Gaetz's unpopularity among Republicans he serves with in the House has grown with one Republican telling the Beast, "There aren’t a lot of people who, you know, are gonna go out of their way to defend Matt Gaetz. I mean, he’s a pretty diabolical character.”

Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE), who admitted Gaetz has almost been involved in two physical fights with colleagues, added, "The anger is pretty well with him. I just think there will be long memories because he did serious damage to our House conference.”

One person who appears to be working behind the scenes against Gaetz is McCarthy, whom Brodey described as stalking "...the halls like a ghost determined to avenge his own murder. .....................

.....................

As the Beast's Brodey notes, McCarthy may have a point, reporting that "Ethics is looking into a much broader range of potential violations, many of which could be deeply embarrassing and reputation-harming for Gaetz—including an allegation that he showed inappropriate sexual content to colleagues on the House floor."...............

That's what authoritarians, purists and radicals always do once they get some power, no matter how little it actually is...
Once you're sitting at the head table, it means you've beaten the other teams - so you're safe to start going after internal "enemies".

I'll gladly lend them some of my own cutlery to help them take care of their personal business. Just got to be careful not to get any further involved.

The correct word there is "WE" not "he."

Take some fucking responsibility, GrOPers. Gaetz didn't oust McCarthy by himself, a bunch of you helped. Gaetz was never the deciding vote in rejecting Speaker candidate after Speaker candidate, the margins were much larger than that. YOU ALL participated in the "serious damage." He's not the problem, you all are. Spare us your whiny baby victimhood narrative.

Having not seen the pictures, not sure how the normal escalation policy would work.

But , pretty sure most of us would have been suspended at least for sexual harassment if not fired outright.

And if he was accessing porn on his work computer, that is almost always an immediate firing in the real world.

Ignoring the whole pedophile sex trafficking thing, he could be ousted just for this.

But of course we have two justice systems in teh workplace -- one for all of us who are accountable to someone, and one for people who run in gerrymandered protected distrcuts.

perhaps rules and codes of conduct (somewhat loosely and subjectively applied). But that's really nothing like ... Additionally, there are vast swaths of the 'workplace' that are not subject to HR (or anything even partially similar). Contractors, lawyers, executive suite, truckers .. and the list goes on.

Conditions on conduct, and requirement to adhere to internal codes was in every contract with every company with whom my former company did business. The list of exceptions you provided did not exist there. There were no exceptions. Globally.

Not sure where somebody flashing dirty pictures on a phone screen - really has much cross section with international codes or contracts. In any event, I stand by my assertion that the 'workplace' is not nearly as uniformly regulated for conduct - as the previous poster's 'HR' example would suggest.

I'm not really religious... I don't believe in whatever man says about "God". I think there's something out there, but I'm not so arrogant as to presume to speak for whatever it is.

Either way though... This would be like an answer to a prayer or something.
