Question about card in the mail re: class action settlement

Seems like a scam. I don't know how to easily check it out. So I come to you, DU.

It's a settlement involving a data breach of client information related to retirement plans.

Still don't want to do anything about it. I don't want to open a can of worms because I don't know what exactly was hacked.

I was one of dozens who won a settlement against Crystal Cathedral back in 2011. It took years, buy I was involved every step of the way. The L A Times even interviewed me about it.

3. Don't get in a hurry, though. I had one back when FCC was actually going after cell scammers

(oh, how I miss that time) and because my cell had been called multiple times I was included in the class. 2-3 years later, a check for $25. LOL

There are legal protocols for informing those potentially in the class. It looks like what you received is a part of that requirement.

I got 200 dollars out of one of those (they sent a check), and didnt have to do anything. Just got another one and have to submit a claim form. I will check it out to see what they want. If it is just the date and price I will submit it.
