I find myself pulling for Nikki Haley to win GOP nomination

First off, I can't stand her. If Haley is the Republican nominee, I will do all that I can to re-elect Joe Biden. A Haley administration would be a disaster for everything I believe in, especially labor unions. There is no candidate more anti-union than Haley. She will nominate people to federal courts, and especially the supreme court that will set back by decades minority rights, voting rights, gay rights, workers' rights and women's rights.

Having said that, I feel that anything that keeps Trump out of the White House saves America's Democracy. If Trump is the nominee. there is at least a chance he becomes President. If he regains the Presidency that will be the end of the Republic. America can survive a Haley administration, as much of a setback that she would be. We cannot survive Trump.

2. She's awful, but she's awful in a way that can be managed and survived.

She would suck as president, just as McCain and Romney would have sucked. But we'd have survived their presidencies and we could survive hers. And there would be some satisfaction in seeing a brown woman beat TFG in the GOP primaries. But let's do whatever we can do to be sure no GOPer becomes president. Especially not TFG.

I have a feeling that there are going to be a ton of his pissed off cultists staying home in November, regardless of what meat puppet the GOP selects as the replacement candidate.

But if Haley was the candidate, Trump would sabotage her and the GQP which would split the Party in two.

11. Yesssss. If ANYONE but Trump is the nominee, the party WILL split. Best outcome imaginable.

But I honestly don't think the party of Palin will nominate a woman again. Not for POTUS or VP.

Though from a historical perspective it would be very sad for this country’s first woman president to be a swamp creature like Haley. But it seems unlikely she will be their nominee anyway, given her gender and non white background.

In Our White House. The most qualified person, man or woman, was denied that opportunity and as much as I’d like to see this chance again, she’s not that woman! First, she’s a republican. Second, she’s not supporting women’s reproductive rights, she’s anti Union, she refuses to denounce tfg and has pledged to support him if he gets the gop nomination. Those reasons, for starters but as long as there is a Biden/Harris ticket, I’m already committed.

Assuming Trump isn't in prison, he will NEVER concede the nomination. He likely would sabotage the convention and burn the national party to the ground leading to a scorched earth election.

and win New Hampshire and South Carolina outright. Trump's trial will start in March.

No question, Haley is the underdog, but there is a viable path to the nomination.

I do agree with some posters here that Trump will be so pissed he will undermine "birdbrain" and split the party in the General Election.
