Walmart to pull all ads from Twitter as Elon Musk's website X plunges into crisis

Walmart said on Friday they will no longer be advertising on social media platform X, becoming the latest brand to drop the Elon Musk-owned site. "We aren't advertising on X as we've found other platforms to better reach our customers," a Walmart spokesperson confirmed.

They've become the latest in a series of companies that have dropped X, with the biggest exodus coming after Elon Musk endorsed an antisemitic post in early November.

This latest advertising drama could cost Elon Musk's company a lot more than the $11 million they initially thought was "at risk" due to backlash over antisemitic content.

According to secret documents seen by The New York Times, X might lose "up to $75 million" as over 100 big brands like Airbnb, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Google, Microsoft, Netflix, and Uber have stopped advertising, with "dozens" more thinking about it.

try to avoid taking the Tramadol I have for it as much as possible.
Not because it knocks me out though but rather I would prefer not to rely on a narcotic to help and would rather avoid them as I dont need an addiction on top of my other health problems.

Someone should be posting updated lists of the biggest consumer-oriented companies that still have a large presence on Twitter. Similar to how most companies have been shamed out of keeping a presence in Russia.

... Musk, currently the world’s wealthiest individual, had a message to big advertisers including Disney that halted spending on his social network: “Go fuck yourself… Go. Fuck. Yourself. Is that clear?” he said Wednesday at the New York Times’ DealBook Summit ...

Nazi propaganda. Or being told to go fuck our selves. Or the simply fact that we simply don’t have customers on your platform anymore as real people are all replaced by bots and Russian trolls. So we’ll spend our money elsewhere.

Musk: but what about free speech?

I guess the devil changed. Well, someone did anyway.

Seriously, Musk is in the right on this one. He's not an antisemite. That's completely ridiculous, dummy-bait hokum.

Advertisers have the right to abandon X. Capitalism is a wonderful thing. But I hate to see corporations becoming pseudo-saints. We really, really are, in my judgment, getting lost in a sea of (to paraphrase Musk) evildoers who masquerade as saints. Corporations need to employ people, make great products, pay their taxes, keep their costs reasonable. Anything legal they do outside that is suspect. Legal, but suspect.

What am I supposed to say about this article? Go Walmart! I don’t think so
Walmart and McDonald’s account for more EBT worker recipients than anyone else. Maybe take some ad money and pay holiday bonuses to your employees.
