(42,033 posts)This kind of information about McDonalds not opening any restaurants beyond the green line wouldnt matter to a mob that decided to harass businesses with any connection to Jews or Israelis.
After they were at McDonalds in Times Square these protesters, actually this mob, moved on to a Starbucks. There are no Starbucks in Israel. Howard Schultz had opened several shops, but it was a colossal failure. The Israelis didnt like his coffee. So one can only conclude that they targeted Starbucks because the company is owned by a Jewish person.

(35 posts)The war criminals are Hamas. Their rocket launching installations, and their mortar installations are purposely put next to schools, hospitals, residential building and any where else where the maximum number of children will die in an Israeli airstrike. Because what Hamas wants more than anything is the anti-Semitic sentiment generated by dead children. The only purpose of a Hamas attack on Israel that Hamas (and their financial supporters in Iran) and Iran knew they could never win was maximizing the number of dead children generated by Israelis defending themselves.
And why are we pointing our gnarly stink-finger of blame at Netanyahu? The day after the attacks, Netanyahu and the rest of the Israeli government sat down and worked out a plan that all could support. The plan is supported by the great majority of Israelis...so maybe it's just Jews who are war criminals.
It's amazing to me how quickly people in this country forget that the September 11th attacks were not carried out by a bunch of blue haired Hadassah ladies on a break from their majongg club. They were carried out by Islamofascits terrorist, genocidal terrorists...not Jews.
The only genocidal war criminals in this fight are Hamas. Were the Brits and the Americans genocidal war criminals when they firebombed Dresden in February 1945? Some say we were, some are idiots. The German people made Hitler possible, just like Gazan Palestinians make Hamas possible.

It was antisemitic harassment when frat boys marched in Charlottesville with their little cosplay tiki torches, shouting "Jews will not replace us." And it's antisemitic harassment when people form a mob outside a Jewish-owned deli in Philadelphia and shout accusations of genocide at them. The owners of this deli aren't responsible for the Israeli government's actions.
One way I can tell it's intentional antisemitism is that these protests don't ever seem to target the Israeli embassy, or the U.N., or the RNC. No, all the "protests" are aimed at Jewish individuals, Jewish-owned businesses, and Democrats.

Think about the racism and homophobia in the beginning of the feminist movement or the sexism and racism in the Queer rights movement. When you really think about who has the power, it isn't the minorities, but, we all to combine against them, we become a super majority. The sad thing is the powers that be understand this and keep us at each other's throats and therefore don't have to worry about any "individual" minority rising too high, because they can always get another minority group to take them down. Next, I personally know many Jewish Americans who disagree with Israeli policies, and not just recently. Their disagreement goes way back, decades. In fact, I can't think of a single Jewish American I know personally who supports or has ever supported Netanyahu.
I'm not Jewish. As far as I know, not one Jewish ancestor. My 23andMe profile is boringly WASP. So I don't have an opinion about Zionism vs not Zionism but even I, with my limited experience, know that this has been a very difficult, heartbreakingly difficult issue for Jewish people.
