They are not subjected to Texas law. He even threatens the husband.

All brave enough to defy him. This may be just what we need to galvanize people, even Texas voters, against the red tide that threatens our lives. And this is exactly why we need a women's right to life movement. Let them fight against giving women a right to life.
Let them see how that will work out for them.

I wish that the medical professionals in Texas would call his bluff. There's something to be said about strength in numbers. Maybe the Grand Old Patriarchy wants the country to look like a cross between Handmaid's Tale and Stepford Wives, but I don't. I'm pretty sure the majority of America would concur with me.

Even if a pregnancy is wanted (as it is in this case), if a pregnancy is not viable and a woman bleeds out or dies of septic shock, well that's just too bad, isn't it? Isn't it a woman's job to be an incubator?

Imagine the stories we HAVEN'T heard about. The Grand Old Patriarchy is beyond sick. Blood is on their hands. This whole thing was never about preserving life, it was about controlling and punishing women and girls.

December 07, 2023 | Press Release
Attorney General Ken Paxton Responds to Travis County TRO

https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/news/releases/attorney-general-ken-paxton-responds-travis-county-tro

AUSTIN – The Temporary Restraining Order (“TRO”) granted by the Travis County district judge purporting to allow an abortion to proceed will not insulate hospitals, doctors, or anyone else, from civil and criminal liability for violating Texas’ abortion laws. This includes first degree felony prosecutions, Tex. Health & Safety Code § 170A.004, and civil penalties of not less than $100,000 for each violation, Tex. Health & Safety Code §§ 170A.005, 171.207-211. And, while the TRO purports to temporarily enjoin actions brought by the OAG and TMB against Dr. Karsan and her staff, it does not enjoin actions brought by private citizens. Tex. Health & Safety Code § ¬¬171.207. Nor does it prohibit a district or county attorney from enforcing Texas’ pre-Roe abortion laws against Dr. Karsan or anyone else. The TRO will expire long before the statute of limitations for violating Texas’ abortion laws expires.
