No news organization would ever run a feature about Dem voters frustrations about cheato trying to steal the 2020 election, or about their frustration with slow pace of the justice system trying to hold him accountable.
We see constant stories about any group that is frustrated with Biden. Constant MAGA in diner stories, voters frustrated with inflation, mad about Bidens's age, whatever. Their frustration is worthy, apparently.
But our frustration, which is based in reality, and is based on the real fear that an authoritarian wanne-be dictator is going to get a second chance to steal our democracy before any of his trials are finished, is NEVER even hinted at.
Now it looks like the only trial that seemed assured to end before the election is in danger of a significant delay as well. Apparently, his latest move for a halt in the case may actually succeed.
Still, unlike the imagined fears and frustrations of MAGA, ours will be ignored.

(15,311 posts)I watch very little of it, except for breaking news that I get included with my internet service. I've cut the Cable TV cord and I've begun to get my political news from daily emails from folks like Joyce Vance and podcasts and youtube video channels like Harry Litman has. I listen to Rachel and Lawrence on TuneIn radio. It's free.
Basically, I'm done paying for propaganda.

(37,221 posts)What we do is decide to stop moaning about the unfairness of corporate inattention, and fight on anyway.
The numbers of those who "get high on their own supply fear of their psychopath, perverse FOX revision of recent history are not going to turn OR run this country.
The numbers of Americans who did not vote for "the american carnage" presidency in 2020 are not going to vote for the new revenge presidency" in 2024.
Cheney, WaPo, the NYT and The Atlantic conveniently forget and/or ignore this historical fact:
in 2020, 81,000,000+ Americans voted for Joe Biden -- voting more than any other voters in America's voting history.
Should we of the 81,000,000+ be afraid? The numbers -- women, Blacks, Latinos, and Gen Z -- say HELL NO. Americans are not giving corporate news media polls the time of day.
In 2024 the only important polls are the polling booths.

Seems like Beaver County is the "go to" place for the media to take the "pulse" of 'Murika.
The below "should be" satire, but I am pretty sure it's not
"Democrats have Decided NOT to Hang Mike Pence"
In a stunning display of the deep polarization on "both sides", Democrats have unilaterally dismissed the idea of hanging Mike Pence.
Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd discuss this breathtaking example of partisanship and "politics as usual" in DC.
Andrea: "Chuck, Retrumplican voters stormed the capitol on January 6 demanding the lynching of Mike Pence, but now Democrats are completely dismissing that idea. Meanwhile, an authoritarian, twice impeached, 4 time indicted man, charged with violently and illegally plotting a coup continues to run away with the Retrumplican nomination for president." "How is he winning this nomination, and how is this possibly just "normal politics in America"?
Chuck: "Well Andrea, to get answers to those questions I am here at the Rush Hour Bar and Bait Store in Beaver County, PA to talk to "salt of the earth, American heartland voters. "With me is Cletus, a retired chicken processing plant beheader living on Social Security and Medicare"
"Cletus, let me ask you, why does Donald Trump continue to have an iron grip on the Retrumplican Party"?
Cletus: "Well Chuck, he's just a straight-shooter. He wants to round up all the minorities and attack shithole cities with the military to ship those people off to camps, and he wants to restore our God given right to rape and subjugate women as we wish, and ensure we have all the weapons and ammo to kill as much of the LGBTQ community as we can...see, he gets me"
Andrea: "Chuck, were you able to talk to any Democrat voters?"
Chuck: "Andrea, we met one of the kitchen help making $2.75 an hour, plus tips,
_________(name redacted due to death threats).
Chuck: (Name Redacted) can you explain Trump's appeal?
(Name Redacted): "These people are fucking nuts!"
Chuck: "So there you have it Andrea. Extreme partisan division on "both sides"!
Andrea: "Thanks Chuck. Next we try to understand how a young, brash tech bro, who speaks like Hermann Goering shot to 3RD place in the Retrumplican primary" "It's really a mystery".

(16,263 posts)A year back, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts hosted an exhibition of LIFE magazine and its role in photojournalism. The section on their coverage of JFKs assassination seems to me was less Camelot and more Orwell. They printed stills from the Zapruder film in the wrong order, creating the impression JFKs body moved forward, in support of Lone Gunman Lee Harvey Oswald shooting him from behind.
Heres a picture:
Pictures making a bigger picture, a false story. And the truth? Who knows? Without it, the day will come when no one will remain who cares. And the traitors will win.
