Biden economy adds 199,000 jobs in November, Unemployment falls to 3.7%

https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.htm

Wage growth remains strong at 4.0% year over year, which for several months in a row now has exceeded the rate of inflation.

185,000 jobs and 3.9% UE were the expectations.

We started losing jobs and money when Trump started talking about tariffs.

Whenever we talk about jobs, people talk about Covid, but Trump's jobs numbers were bad before Covid. Trump's economy averaged 166,000 jobs a month before Covid even hit. He inherited low unemployment and then the jobs growth basically piddled under him. Here Biden is at 265,000, 150,000, and 199,000 and people are talking about those numbers like they're a slump and a slow down because his job growth has been the best in US history. Biden's worst months of job growth would be normal months for Trump before Covid.

And the wage growth remains high and exceeds inflation again. For all the inflation articles we got, we deserve half as many now that people are getting ahead. Biden dealt with global inflation better than virtually any other world leader and the US has come out the other side without a reciession, an incredibly robust jobs market, and sustained wage growth that is allowing people to actually get ahead.

And mortgage rates are falling again. Down to 7%. And people forget that although rates are more normal now, Chairman Powell has rate cuts in his back pocket should any economic troubles arise. We had 5.2% gowth last quarter! I can hear the whining from the Right already next year when Powell starts lowering rates again they'll claim he's doing it to prop up the economy and re-elect Jow Biden.

Honestly, the effects of inflation still linger, but that was a global issue you really can't blame any one administration for. But this is the best economy we've had in generations now that inflation has been less than wage growth for a sustained period. Food and energy prices are down for the Holidays. We're at full employment with no end in sight. If a Republican were president they'd be talking about having ticker tape parades to honor them everywhere they went.

I’m tired of these personal responsibility type vpeople whining because they can’t make ends meet, when it’s just poor management of their own money. They think the gas is still five dollars and eggs are still eight dollars a dozen.

The ones that got an 8.7% raise on social security are the same ones complaining about the 3.2% raise they're getting this January.

These are increases that keep up with the cost of living for people on Social Security. Someone making $1000 on social security at the end of 2022 will be making $1121.78 in January of 2024. That amount helps. DOesn't means there aren't outliers both ways, and it's still a struggle for too many Americans. But ask yourself, who is trying to help regular people who are struggling more? Joe Biden or the GOP?

We've had great economic news for years now, we didn't have a recession.

Something like 70% of Americans polled say their personal finances are better now than they were a year ago. That right there is the economy. 70% of regular people doing better is the most important indicator. But the news wants to focus on only bad stories about the economy. It flies in the face of reality.
