Doubling down on dictatorship

Trump stated that on day one of his regime he wants to be a dictator. Just for that one day, so he can shut the borders and drill unfettered for oil. What rubbish.

All he needs is one day to suspend our Constitution. Then, he doesn't need anything else to impose his will.

Trump is continually now telling us what he will do if "reelected." It will not be pretty. Smarter people than you or I are telling us to believe him. I do. Now that the subject of his dictatorship is so easily broached, he is bringing it out into the open, with acknowledgment that all he has already said (you know, about freedom of expression and opinions, getting even with his "enemies," executing certain people, and jailing anyone who looks at him cross eyed) but not labeled as dictatorship is, in fact, what he will be. A dictator. On day one. Our first dictator. Trump.

It would behoove us to prepare our reaction to this. I have no idea why ordinary people WANT to have a creature of such low character have power over them like this. Honestly, we were gifted by sweat and blood with a country of freedom. No, we were not perfect. But, we were getting there. Now, we are failing. And, for what? What do these RW terrorists get out of it? I think you really have to look back at Nazi Germany to kinda get it, but it really is freaky when you imagine that they think they themselves will have money or power. In reality, if you are poor today, you will be poor tomorrow. Trump et al will not save you.

I hope that Judge Chutkan holds firm and immediately jails Trump if he is convicted. I think that Trump will go to lunch that day and disappear, but those are my private wishes. Just as many people want his sorry orange ass thrown in a jail cell. That also works for me. He's dangerous.

But, one thing we can note, he's not lying when he says he wants to be a dictator on day one. That's obvious. He would have to be in order to get out of the Florida documents case. Coming up in 2025--or, not.

To think that they fought to turn back the tide of this kind of EVIL only to have Nazis parading through the streets of America, promoting their hate and bile outside Disneyland,

and their fascist insurrectionist Liar-in-Chief, whose TOTAL DISRESPECT AND DISREGARD for our nation, its institutions, and our DEMOCRACY was such that he attempted a deceitful, underhanded OVERTHROW OF THE PEOPLES WILL...

just to enforce his OWN - and is STILL attempting to do so....

no words.
