(33,424 posts)is that Trump is ahead in some of the swing states Biden won. If that were not true the electoral count would be the same as 2020.

What do the New York state polls say about flipping back the seats that Magats won in districts that Biden carried? Like Anthony DeVolder, how in the hell did he win in New York?
Does the Democratic candidate need to be a moderate to win, why not run the best candidate?

(15,377 posts)to subvert the local election process. The fascists publicly accuse election officials of assorted misbehaviors, claim that the elections are all flawed, and keep trying to put their own people into positions of authority.
From the research I've done, MyPillow guy appears to be one of the funders.

The houses are the ones who certify.
MyNameIsJonas
(744 posts)It's generally the Sec. of State of these states who certifies the election.
It sounds like you're confusing the US House with the state legislatures - the US house certifies the state electors but those electors are generally certified, as I said, the Sec. of State.
State legislators don't have the legal authority to do that.
Here's a story from Arizona where you can see Hobbs as Sec. of State, who is now governor, was the one to certify the results in 2020:

We are in trouble, no we are fucked and are a xerox copy of where the whole damn country is headed.
(You youngins may need to Google Xerox)
And I am stuck here in District 11 till death. Which GQP plan to expedite.
Trouble is a Marshalls term for what NC is in.

(17,284 posts)the state polls showed Biden would win in a walk, would you be as willing to contribute financially or to contribute as much?
Campaigns want to motivate financial supporters, especially those who can give a lot, and this is a good way to do it.

(17,284 posts)based on my government experience that when you want something the best way to get it is to lay out the worst possible case scenario.

(10,018 posts)Yeah, we've all received urgent pleas for campaign donations based on polling data that shows they are down, hence the need for more money.
The next time I hear, "we're up big in the polls, no need to contribute more, everything is going great as is!" will be the first.
More informative would have been for you to relay to us what their plans are going forward, given that we don't need polling to tell us that it's going to be a close race regardless. If they are worried about the polling as you and others seem to be, what significant changes are they going to be making in terms of their campaign to successfully assuage those fears and have better showings in the polls?
