Republicans aim not just to distract from the fact that they haven’t passed any meaningful legislation all year -- which is certainly true -- but also to hand their cult leader Trump a gift of minimizing the stain of his own impeachment* through getting Biden impeached, too, at any cost -- even at the cost of democracy, legality, and their own souls.

* Er, impeachments plural.

They take their orders from him. He wants Biden impeached, and they're falling all over themselves to make it so. Evidence? They don't need no stinkin' evidence. Their dear leader has spoken, and his wish is their command!

But don't get me wrong- I'm sure they're more than happy for the distraction as well!
