(8,475 posts)Trump can't particupate in the debates because he would get absolutely washed by the other candidates, so he contrived to have this shitheel stand in his place. He now does so in these other contexts as well.

(3,758 posts)If I was running against someone more popular than me a primary, and that person wasn't on the ballot for whatever reason, I'd be inclined to stay on the ballot and get more votes. That is - after all - the goal of running for elected office: getting more votes.
If I had given money to a candidate or campaign and they did this, I'd ask for my money back.
The only rationale for this is to hobble his own candidacy and martyr himself in service to the Orange Fuhrer.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
