It is hell on earth for the Ukrainians
Godless Russia has destroyed and damaged hundreds of Ukrainian churches and even cathedrals. The church in the village of Novomykhailivka was built in 1907. And as if defying Russia's satanic evil, the cross on its tall spire still stands.
In eastern #Ukraine, the village is on the outskirts of the occupied city of Donetsk. Since Russia's full-scale invasion, Russian forces have been attempting to advance north & west from the city - and as usual, they're flattening everything in that Donbas region.

(9,100 posts)which, under its current patriarch for life, Kirill, is as bloodthirsty, warmongering, Putin-loyalist and revolting as the rest of the regime, and thinks God is on their side.
Russia's activities in Ukraine, from plundering and destroying historical sites and artefacts to abducting thousands of children and trying to turn them into good Russians, along with atrocities against people in general and razing cities and towns to the ground, are unarguably genocide, and in some quarters are seen as a religious war, or at least one with strong religious undertones, with numerous clergy in the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine having been found to be treasonous.
Some background:
Thanks for posting this. Kirill may be bloodthirsty and warmongering but his loyalty to Putin sure has paid off in great wealth and power!!!!
Shameless heresy seems pretty common these days and not just in Russia. Has Putin held up a Bible for the cameras in front of an Orthodox Cathedral lately?

(9,148 posts)"Godless" isn't a pejorative. There are hundreds of millions of peace-loving people worldwide who value rational thinking and simply see no evidence for the existence of deities. That doesn't make them evil.
