Have it here in Upper Michigan, north of Wisconsin.
If it wasn't raining, I could till the garden and now the yard.

(4,489 posts)We had all of our family here yesterday and nobody complained about there being no snow.
Last week got the mower out and chopped up all the oak leaves in the back yard.

(130,533 posts)It reached a high of 54 yesterday and rained all day. Right now it's 52 and still drizzling. Any temperature above freezing this time of year is unusual, and we've had an occasional Christmas without snow, but 54 degrees? Are you kidding me? If it dries out a bit I will be able to finish some yard work I didn't get to last month, and I won't need a jacket. Too weird.

(3,581 posts)Too warm for a white Christmas. We'll get that maybe next month.
I'd much rather deal with rain than ice and snow.

(39,086 posts)along the Ohio River. I saw 5 other bikers and lots of people walking their dogs. Saw a bald eagle, got a picture but it was about 150 yards away, so not so good.

(41,631 posts)I honestly can't remember when we've had a white Christmas. Anyway I think they're overrated. I'd rather have warmer temps and safe roads for driving.
So today we saw the sun for the first time in over a week. It's over 50 degrees I'm sure.
It was still warm when I walked my dog about an hour ago.

(40,365 posts)The snow in my driveway was higher then the front of the snowblower.
For the first path, I had to shovel the snow down to a level lower then the top of the snowblower auger. For the second path, I shoveled the top snow back into the 1st path which I snow blowed out before snowblowing the 2nd path to the street. I had to repeat this process till I had the whole driveway cleared.

But excluding 2020, you're absolutely correct about there not being white Christmases in a long while. I think the last one prior to 2020 was in 2002.

(38,054 posts)I think central NJ is turning more mid Atlantic. Nuisance snow to sleet events - no big snow like we had in Rochester when I was a kid!
