On Wednesday night, Lauren Boebert announced that she is abandoning Colorados 3rd Congressional district and will now be running against me in Colorado's 4th in a last ditch attempt to save her fledgling campaign.
I am the Democrat who has been running to flip Colorados 4th Congressional district blue since 2020 and as a retired Marine Corps Officer and Purple Heart recipient - I am ready for a fight.
Lauren Boebert is beyond vulnerable and has no ties to this district - we have name recognition, over 22,000 grassroots donations, and a coalition of thousands of volunteers and supporters from across the district and state. Beating Boebert on our home turf is how we finally get her out of Congress.
We are now taking on one of the GOPs biggest fundraisers and we need to supercharge our fundraising immediately. Friend - can I count on you to rush a split donation between me and Mission: Democracy to help us flip this district blue, beat Boebert, and elect democrats across the country?

If youre independently wealthy enough to contribute to every Democrat, great. But its essential that we take back the House, so we need to focus on the seats that are actually winnable.

Putting on pugilistic theater to con the political bases into believing a candidate will fight in the job once in elected office repulses me. What do I get from a fight? Government disruption and chaos and the obstruction of my hope for an improved governance.
Fighting is for revolutions. The promise of revolutions is too often shallow: the way (some/all) things are will be turned upside down, very soon, with much collateral damage. And, don't we know, the mess will be left to be put back together by those who ... WORK.
This nation needs political work products from elected officials that serve to advance the shared interests of all. And that's what I'm looking to put a mark beside on a ballot.
Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
